The three of us met through the Forrest Yoga community. We have completely different personalities — that somehow drew us together. We immediately gelled as a team. The Big Web came about because we are passionate about the healing benefits of Forrest Yoga, its many facets and also influences. We felt that there needed to be a platform to bring the modalities of yoga, body psychotherapy, bodywork therapies, Shamanic healing, global consciousness and sustainability together.  So we thought, “what the hell – let’s do it!”… and here we are!

Individually, we are strong practitioners, strong teachers, strong leaders, but when we get together to share knowledge or teach, magic happens. We believe that we are better when we’re connected to each other, which is why we want to connect you to The Big Web too.

Forrest Yoga is yoga specifically designed for 21 Century living. With Strong roots in the Native American Medicine ways, Ana Forrest created Forrest Yoga as she worked through her own traumas. Forrest Yoga is an intensely physical and internally focused practice that emphasises how to carry a transformative experience off the mat and into daily life.

The Forrest Yoga principles are Breath, Strength, Integrity and Spirit and the practice challenges students to access their whole being and to use Forrest Yoga as a path to finding and then cleansing the emotional and mental blocks that dictate and limit their lives.  Students cultivate an acute awareness of their own practice and life process, creating a unique and powerful opportunity for them to make practical life decisions based on their own experiences.

I also combine what I learned in the Native American world. I’ve created inside the yoga ceremony a place to quest for your authentic self, to quest for your natural gifts and how to develop them — and how to connect to your own Spirit. The other huge part is intelligent breathing and building intelligence into different parts of the body.  Forrest Yoga is designed to give us the skills to heal and become trustworthy to ourselves, it’s also a sweaty work-out  — getting the endorphins going, which in themselves are healing.
